Meditree Tea Tree | 100% natural and organic skincare brand from Australia

Hi!

Last month, I attended the launch of a new brand from Australia.

The Meditree Tea Tree range includes the Tea Tree Facial Cleanser, Tea Tree Face Scrub & Mask, Tea Tree Hydrator, Tea Tree Acne Gel and 100% Tea Tree Oil.

Specially formulated to suit oily, combination and acne prone skin, the Meditree Tea Tree combines the natural ingredients tea tree and willow bark extract which work hand-in-hand to reduce pimples and acne while leaving the skin fresh and clean. Tea Tree has anti-septic properties while willow bark extract contains the highest natural form of salicylic acid which makes it ideal as an anti-inflammatory agent on the skin.

Meditree – a name blended from the words ‘Medicinal Tree’ – encapsulates purity and tranquility of nature, combining ingredients with active vitamins, herbal extracts and essential oils to create a simple, and nourishing acne skin solution for consumers with different skin types. “With its theme to ‘Stay Clear, Stay Natural’, Meditree aspires to deliver fresh and natural skin care solution without synthetic fillers, preservative and foaming agents,” said Chua I-Lin, Senior Manager, Product Management Consumer Health, Healthcare, DKSH Malaysia at the launch of Meditree Tea Tree.

At the launch, DKSH has also invited Dr. Nazirin Arrifin, a renowned dermatologist from Pantai Hospital, to offer professional advice and tips to manage acne prone skin. According to Dr. Nazirin, acne affects not only teenagers who are undergoing puberty, but it is also prevalent among adults aged between 30 to 50. Common types of acne include white and black heads, small inflammatory papules (red spots) and pustules (red spots with pus).

While the usual causes of acne include stress, genetic predisposition as well as fluctuations of the androgen hormone for teenagers, Dr. Nazirin noted that acne is sometimes left untreated until it becomes severe, and this leads to physical and psychological problems such as permanent scaring, low self-esteem, depression or even social withdrawal at a later stage.

“Choosing the right product that suits your skin type is important because the skin needs to be cleansed daily to get rid of dirt, excess oil and bacteria that can potentially clog pores and bring about acne,” added Dr. Nazirin.

“With Meditree, we believe that the Tea Tree range which contains plant-based ingredients will help those with this common skin condition,” added Chua.

Meditree is 100% natural and organic skincare brand from Australia.

Apart from Malaysia, Meditree is also available in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, UAE and Russia, and Whole Foods Markets in Canada.

So far, I am using only the cleanser. My face feels clean, no tight feelings too. But the smell is quite strong for me to use frequently. I will try out the other products as well and update on my IG. Do follow me if you haven't.

Thanks for reading!
