Revlon Insta-Blush (Berry Kiss, Candy Kiss, Nude Kiss) Review

7:30 AM

I won a Revlon Gift Bag from an Instagram contest by NuffnangMy and Revlon Malaysia sometime back in August. Honestly, except for the 3 new Revlon Insta-Blush, I kinda regretted winning it though.

What I received in the Revlon Gift Bag:
1. A Revlon red makeup/toiletry bag
2. All 3 Revlon Insta-Blush (Berry Kiss, Candy Kiss, Nude Kiss)
3. Revlon Colorsilk in 30 Dark Brown

All Rainbows and Flowers with A Better Florist

1:00 PM

There’s not a single person on this planet that doesn’t like gifts. You love receiving them, or gifting them or both, but the way it makes you feel is a story on its own. A Better Florist is probably the best florist in Singapore that took gifts and flowers to the next level and focused, not solely on design and beauty, but on the way these creations make you feel. It totally turned the floristry scene, upside down and changed the way we shop for gifts and flowers.

With A Better Florist, shopping for fruit baskets or bouquets is far from traditional, as they know exactly how precious time comes to each and every citizen in Singapore. Save yourself some time and join A Better Florist who can cater to you long-distance.Their blooming world is online, where all the hampers, flower arrangements, balloons and flower stands are. New age calls for a new way to shop, that’s much more convenient and easy, and A Better Florist decided to bring convenience to flower shopping. They’re literally the first florist in Singapore that introduced this kind of simple experience. I can go on for days introducing all their lovely bouquets and hampers, but there’s so much variety and options, that it’s best that you look on your own. Here’s a hint: Don’t miss their bundles!

If you want a fruit basket, you don’t have to struggle all the way to a gift shop to find it and carry it home, sweating with each step. If you need urgent funeral flowers, you don’t have to leave your home to order and have them delivered. Even if you need something that doesn’t require flowers, like a baby shower gift or a rich and beautiful get well soon hamper, you still don’t have to budge an inch, or leave their website. It’s like a new galaxy where flowers and gifts dominate. They’ve evolved into a business that’s continuously expanding and adding new services, so that you don’t have to waste your time. It’s all about exceptional service and being happy with this florist.

That’s not the only thing that I like about this flower delivery Singapore has gone crazy for. It’s one of the cheapest deliveries out there, along with selling blooms that are also affordable. You can always find different options, so even if you don’t have a large budget for gift or flower shopping, they can help you create something that you do have money for. They don’t want you to leave empty handed, because happiness is all that matter. After all, feeling great is all that matters and the best florist in Singapore always focuses on that.

Besides being fairly cheap, their flower delivery Singapore loves because it’s so fast and trustworthy. They’ll never let you done. It doesn’t really matter if it’s a holiday or the weekend. They deliver every day, on the same day, within 90 minutes. They’re always open, so it’s basically like a fast food joint that you can always turn to in times of hunger and in need of comfort. Long live food and flower joints!

So the  best flower delivery in Singapore has finally arrived, and we have A Better Florist to thank for bringing it to us. Now, they’re moving on, and they now offer a Dubai flower delivery and a Hong Kong flower delivery as well, because the rest of the world deserve a piece of the petal pie as well!

Now that they have the best flower delivery in Hong Kong, you can trust me when I say that not only are they best at what they do in Singapore, they are also known as the best florist in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and consequently the best Florist in Hong Kong! So wherever you are, I suggested you check out what A Better Florist is all about. Their blooms and gifts speak more about who they are, then I ever could. See for yourself!

Thanks for reading!

Langkawi: An Island of Adventure / My Overdue Trip Recap

4:30 PM

This may be overdue but no place is too ancient except The Lost World of Atlantis (if you can get there la). I visited Langkawi in August last year. Lol. Drafted a post then it got ‘submerged’ under other drafts until I forgot all about it. Wtf, I need to look through all my posts if this can happen once. *I hope once only. >.<”

So, why Langkawi?

Best sunset view? Taken at Cenang Beach #sunsetview

Bf went the previous year with his friend but unluckily for him, it was the rainy season. Like, the beach is there but you don’t want to get wet. From the rain. #logicfail Lol. I decided to book a trip with my BFF.

Here’s the clinch: Both of us didn’t plan anything out. Lol #YOLO

Blog Makeover Season 1 by The Butterfly Project

8:00 AM

This is a story of why I have a new face since this month. Happy to have this new layout, new navigation, new header, etc. I'll go through one by one, then you can see what's new here.

Above is the previous layout. I guess the template got messed up and recently it only appeared in that pastel blue background. Or it's just the Mobile version.

So, after this, how is the new layout?

Haven't heard of it? Really!? Where are you? Follow me pronto, then or faster read this blog post then follow @makersmalaysiacharity

Background Story
This is an online auction happening to help Sha fight cancer!

Sha (@sha_saleh), a single mother, was diagnosed with stage 3a cancer in April 2016. She had surgery to remove her upper right lung alongside 7 lymph nodes in May 2016. After the surgery, she was given the clear. However, the cancer recurred (now in her brain) in May 2017 and in June, Sha had her first cycle of Immunotherapy, which is only offered at private health institutions. 3 weeks later, she had her second. Unfortunately, she might not be able to do it anymore due to the expensive cost - RM1,000,000 for 2 years. That’s around RM30,000 per session for every 3 weeks for 2 years! Unlike chemotherapy, Immunotherapy is the best chance Sha has to having a normal life.

Do share this event & we hope to see you bidding! ❤️ #makersmalaysia

Please read more for details and do share it out ya! :)

Kleenso Liquid Wax Floor Cleaner Serai Wangi Review

8:00 AM

Firstly, this is a totally different product review, my first time reviewing home cleaning products. Wah, like I graduated from beauty and lifestyle blogger into a mum blogger. Lol. Sorry but this is my interpretation when I accepted the review offer. Why not try something different and challenge my review style, right?

I say mum blogger because honestly mothers or mostly females handle the housekeeping. Now that males are opening up to the concept and some males are even doing a better job. *pointing to myself FML

Without further ado, let's talk about Kleenso.

5 Reasons why Zumba is not for you

6:00 AM

First up, if you are not familiar with Zumba, it involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography is decided by the Zumba instructor. Started back in the 1990s, it recently became more popular with new classes popping out and new instructors emerging. So you have a lot to pick from, either you prefer classes nearby, a specific instructor that caters to your taste of music or the value offered.

However, how do you know if Zumba is FOR YOU? I have listed 5 Reasons why Zumba may just not be your cup of tea. Or movement.

Dubbed the Queen of Tropical Flowers, the Hibiscus is both the national flower of Malaysia and South Korea. After achieving its independence in 1957, Malaysia longed for a national flower to symbolize her identity. In 1958, the Ministry of Agriculture sought proposals for a national flower from all state governments. Found in abundance throughout the country, the Hibiscus Rosa Sinesis was chosen to be the national flower in 1960 by Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. The Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis, also known as the ‘Brilliant Red’ was chosen as it symbolises the nation’s Rukun Negara (principles of nationhood) with its 5 petals. The red colour symbolises the courage and unity of its people. In addition, the many varieties, colour, shapes and sizes of the Hibiscus family reflects the different races, religion and multi-cultural background of the people who live in peace and harmony in Malaysia. The Hibiscus Rosa Sinesis is also locally known as the Bunga Raya.

Face Mist | My 5 top fave

9:30 PM

July is for face mist! A quick wiki: Facial mist sprays are just what they sound like: misting bottles or atomizers filled with a liquid designed to soothe, moisturize, relax or rejuvenate your face.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone™ - in Concert in Malaysia is Postponed

7:56 PM

[Updated 27 July 2017]

If you are not, have never, or am not interested in Harry Potter, Evanesco! Please.

I don't need another ignorant Muggle though I think J.K. Rowling should stop coming out with new books related to the originals. Fantastic Beasts should stop. I dislike dragging the story. Until when?!

Okay, A-hem, got side-tracked.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone™ - in Concert in Malaysia was scheduled on 15th July and 16th July.

Mid 2017

7:27 PM

It's already July, guys! How's your 'New Year Resolutions' going? By this time, it would be half way to completion. But I'm nowhere there as I didn't come up with resolutions this year, unless you count in 'Living a fulfilled life' as one.

I have to say though, I didn't expect myself to get involved in a few stuff. Learning Japanese is one of them. I am still deliberating whether I should share my experience. I am now in Beginner 3, having learnt all hiragana and katakana. Learning kanji might be in Beginner 4. I heard that if you learnt Mandarin, then kanji would be easy to handle. Lol. For now, learning more vocabulary and sentence structure.

It's true when you have pent up emotions and it suddenly burst, you can't control it. Some things are just too broken, not easy to mend, will forever haunt you.

On the good side, two nasty incidents happened. One is certain, the other, I am currently hoping karma bites them. Oh make that two karma bite them. Totally deserve it. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Whatever along that line. Lol. Please, karma, make them pay.

Okay, enough bad vibes. Supposed to use this precious time to blog something useful. But damn it la, I have only used 1 hour to type this stupid post.

T.T Does this mean I can only blog when I die? And I sound so bitter......

1028 Visual Therapy | Cosmetics Infused with Skin Care Essence

6:00 PM

When The Butterfly Project opened sign ups for the review of this product 1028 Visual Therapy, I just knew I had to try my chance at it!

Can't resist the Dessert Makeup idea that this cosmetic is marketing. How not to when their eyeshadows are given names like Macaron, Brownie and Mont Blanc? Yumsssss!

AND I signed up, gave my best review idea, next thing I knew, I received an email from Tammy that I am the selected ones to review the eyeshadow of my choice! Btw, Tammy also published a post about the product here.

Other products are also sent, to complete the whole look together with the eyeshadow.

Cik Muda

Coretan Cik Muda: Road Safety Checklist

12:17 PM

Hi, kali ni Cik Muda nak sound tentang keselamatan di jalan raya. Yalah, nak dekat raya ni, tentu ramai on the road, katakan lah. Kereta ada servis tak? Tayar okay tak, bukan botak tau. Yang motorsikal ni pula, ada check lampu semua. Ada jaket kuning keselamatan light reflector tu? Bukan ambil saja baju kuning, hot pink pakai balik. Dah kata malam, nanti jalan lampu rosak, memang panjang umur tak kena langgar.

Cik Muda nak sound ni pun sebab 2 minggu lepas tak silap, pergi Ipoh. Bf drive malam, lepas habis kerja, terus drive. Seram bukan orang bawa laju. Ini seram tengok kereta tak buka lampu, lampu rosak lah. Tapi TOP NO. 1 ni ialah motorsikal yang tak nampak kat atas jalan raya.

Kau panjang umur sangat ke, wahai penunggang motor? Cik Muda nak terlelap pun risau. Risau si BF ni terlepas pandang, percuma accident malam2. Tak ingin sangat!

So, please, please lah. Check everything! Pergi buat checklist on the road. Yang untung pun nyawa terselamat. Yang rugi, banyak, bukan kau accident seorang saja rugi.

Road Safety Checklist?

Banyak list itu ada online, guna Uncle Google cari. Ambil mana yang relevan.

Sekian, coretan hari ini. Harap bermanfaat.

6:30 AM

This is my post for The Butterfly Project's Blog Detox!

I missed the first month, My Fave Cleanser but no sweat, I am going to post it up soon. It's in draft because I actually can't decide on any cleansers yet. There's many to choose from hence the dilemma until deadline passed. Lol.

Time to just chill and type. This month's topic is My Fave Sheet Mask.

The Butterfly Birthday Party X Jerlynn'L

8:30 AM

On the last Saturday of April, 29th, I got to attend the 4th birthday party of The Butterfly Project!

You guessed it!

Theme: Yellow Garden Party

Which was very challenging for me as I swore off wearing yellow clothes a long time ago. So, no yellow in my wardrobe and I actually procrastinated looking for it, assuming that the dress I bought from Lazada would arrive on time.

It arrived just on the party day itself. Lol. Lucky but I wished that I didn't bought it. Wtf.

Jerlynn'L | Quality, Customized child-safe, and Paraben free Products

8:00 AM

It's already past mid-May and not a blog post from me. (0w0) Seems I'm packed for this month. Just first weekend 6-7th I was in Singapore, my first trip to the Lion City. Lol. I had the famed frog porridge too. Sounds a bit yuck but it actually tasted like chicken, more on the chewy side like duck meat. No distinct smell too.

Then the next weekend was in Japan: Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. Meh tired lah. Luckily I washed my hair beforehand because the Japan trip was so hectic, I ended up not trying out any hair salons there. T.T

Andddd this last weekend, I will be in Sarawak. Gawai festival. And my hair appointment this Saturday, Yay for pampering time.

Oppss, got ahead of myself. So what products did I used before the hair appointment?

Introducing Jerlynn'L - quality, customized child-safe, and paraben free products.

Dear Diary #14

4:43 PM

Dear Diary,

For starters, I sound like a hypocrite, saying I don't feel like blogging much in April but hey, 10 posts, the most since January. Lol. Wtf weiyh, talk different, do different.

My Memory Lane with The Butterfly Project

10:00 PM

When I filled up the Google Form to RSVP for The Butterfly Project's 4th Anniversary, one question took me on a walk down memory lane.

It was post after post of happenings that involved the community.

So, I thought why not share with whoever reads my blog readers, with a brief summary of each post too.

My First Experience at Pet Fiesta 2017

9:00 PM

On 15th April, I dragged bf along to Setia City Convention Centre. Both our first time exploring this area, well, my 2nd time actually. But that was a brief visit with my sister.

We came about 12PM and almost got lost finding the correct venue. Lol.

Selfish behaviour deserves shitty respond

12:11 AM

This is a rant post. So please skip if you prefer happy, cheerful posts.

So, I attended Running Man Live in Malaysia 2017 at MIECC. I will post a separate post, dedicated for the event itself.

Luckily, I decided to just fuck it and bought the most expensive ticket, VIP. Mind you, it's RM759.50.. I think lah. So expensive right but I did get a nice view.

That was what I think when I sat down.

Sadly, nope.

Dear Diary #13

11:30 PM

Dear Diary,

Been delaying this, I really don't feel like blogging much this month...

Beauty and The Beast Movie Premiums from The Malaysian Women's Weekly

9:00 AM

This week, I received a surprise DM from @themalaysianwomensweekly

It was about a Contest, to win 3 sets of Beauty and The Beast movie premiums.

Recap of the Contest by @themalaysianwomensweekly.

I'm lucky! There are 3 sets and I checked about 100+ reposts for the contest. I wasn't expecting anything as it was 3 weeks ago. Suddenly, I saw a DM notification. I didn't feel anything yet, just a quick glance as I was busy. Minutes later to take a short break, I remembered the DM and read it back. Lol.

Pslove:Pain-Relieving Heat Patches for Menstrual Cramps, Backaches, Neck & Shoulder Pains

9:30 AM

Having neck or back pains? Check your sitting posture pronto. You might be hunching instead of aligning your back to the chair.

Prolong sitting and poor posture may cause our neck and back muscles to strain and overtime, we feel the pain accumulate. If you are an office worker, facing the computer most of the day, 8 hours straight, you are more subjected to get neck and back pain as most office workers have poor posture.

Meanwhile, for the fairer sex, period cramps are evil. I kid you not. My first day is horrible; the day I wish I can just lie down but no, I still need to change or leakage... TMI. But, not all females face this. Some do not experience painful cramps while menstruating. Lucky them..

So, Pslove has generously provided me with three each of their pain-relieving heat patches. Each are specific to either backaches, neck/shoulder pains or menstruation cramps.
The 3 heat patches

"Each product is carefully designed to fit the contours of your body. We've calibrated the heat released to suit the intensity of pain to be relieved, with MenstruHeat being the hottest, followed by BackHeat and NeckHeat." - Pslove

AND I have a PromoCode and a Giveaway at the end of the reviews!

My Wishlist with Shopback MY: Beauty + Instax Camera Version

9:00 PM

I did mention in My Wishlist with Shopback MY: Ladies Version that I am also doing a Beauty Version and Instax Camera Version. I think I better combine both since I'm not really a fan of photography; if the picture taken looks good, then all is fine. Lol.
And if you have read that post, I have shown how to get cashback using Shopback Malaysia.

In case you are new to it but I wouldn't want to repeat the same contents here, please do watch the Youtube video above, done by Shopback.

Better Together Cheek & Lip Makeup Bag Set Review

9:00 PM

I actually received this lovely pouch before my trip to Lombok but I ended up not bringing it. Think it's because the pouch looked too pretty to be crushed in my luggage and later when I returned from there.

So here's my not-so-late review of this.

P.s.: Honestly, I wouldn't have bought this, if it's not because of the pouch design. The products left much to be desired.. >.<"

Of Preferences and Profiling or Stereotyping

12:30 PM

If you're The Stars news reader, you would have read the article by R.age about racist rentals. If you haven't, here's the link.

It got a lot of comments, divided between yes, the tenants/potential tenants and the house owners.

You might have missed another article from Vulcan Post Malaysia. I shared it on my personal Facebook. Here's the link to read.

It's about an employee's (from the post, he/she is assumed to be holding the HR post) view when hiring future employees.

That article also got lots of comments, mostly bashing the person as a racist, bigot, pitiful person.

My Wishlist with Shopback MY: Ladies Version

7:30 AM

Last month was my birthday and also Shopback Malaysia, me being 20-something while it’s Shopback’s 2nd Birthday!

But before that, are you new to Shopback? New user a? Don’t worry, Shopback so easy to use. All you need is stable internet connection and check if your merchant is listed on Shopback. By the way, Shopback has 300+ stores listed, that’s a lot so sure can find your store online.

The Plant Base: The Purity of Nature

11:30 AM

Bamboo Extracted Water??

Say Hello to The Plant Base.

The Plant Base

Honestly, have you heard of this brand? It is actually available on Hermo. Prices range between RM 121 - RM 55. Quite pricey but some products are having 15% - 29% off.

Worry not, at the end of this post, there is a special discount code for my readers. So keep on reading!

Of Opinion and Threat

1:00 AM

First, this is my opinion on a matter and there is freedom of speech, unless I threaten your life or your business. Either than that, feel free to read til bottom and if you have comments, do leave them below. I will, maybe, have time to read them later.

If you're in the blogosphere, meaning you blog or you are a reader of a blog or you are into the Korean bands MONSTA X, BTS and EXO, you may have come across the Twitter incident.

Restore your skin's youthful radiance with the New & Improved Hada Labo Lifting & Firming range

9:00 AM

On 21st January, I attended a launch of the New and Improved Hada Labo Lifting and Firming range. Held at Roofino Skydining & Bar, KL Trillion, it was a great January event.

Truthfully when I got the invitation, I was skeptical. Roofino= Roof?? With Malaysia's unpredictable weather?

But the fear of rain was met with great sunny weather on that day. Maybe it means that the product is great until the weather relented to the sun? Who knows. It was a fun day for the products' launch as the natural lighting was good. So bloggers and social media butterflies alike could enjoy the launch then some OOTD shots with the amazing backdrop of KL. Not every day that you get to have all this: Good lighting? Checked. Amazing backdrop? Checked. Great weather? Checked. Plus you wore a nice outfit? Checked!

This New and Improved Lifting and Firming range is targeted for women above 30.

Dear Diary,

Can you believe that it's already almost the end of February, my birth month?

PABLO Matcha Cheesetart Launch

12:28 AM

I received an invitation to Pablo's Matcha Cheesetart Pre-Launch on 7 January 2017. It is officially available starting from 11 January at their Pablo outlet at One Utama. This cheese tart is made of the top Matcha, Uji Matcha together with Shiratama (a type of mochi, glutinous rice flour) and Adzuki bean (dark red, sweet bean paste). Personally, I love this combination. Slightly bitter, chewy bits and a burst of hidden sweetness - absolutely yummy!

November to LOVEABOX

9:00 AM

I know, long overdue, November~

Still, no harm in posting it this year. Plus this might pique your interest to get their January edition.

Highlight: Gold and luxurious packaged that help make your eyes pop!

I have no idea what, is it makeup or skincare?

Truly surprised that they had this in the November box when I've heard so much about Pony x Memebox!

Dear Diary #11

1:04 AM

So I skipped November, no posts at all that month because I was feeling so shitty that I just couldn't be bothered to type anything.

Then December came and suddenly, I am alive. Lol. No kidding, I felt more energetic and went out more.

Maybe it's because of the blogging events plus the Butterfly Party at Publika. How could I be grumpy when there's a gift exchange, where I get to do good? Everybody at the party was flowing with good vibes. I was still awkward though so meh.

11:57 PM

I am just going to make this brief then continue playing my ipad games/read my book/continue binge watching Korean dramas. Watching Goblin/ Legend of the Blue Sea yet?
