Skin Peel & LED Phototheraphy @ Premier Clinic

2:20 AM

Usually, people say 'New Year, New Hair/ Makeup/ Clothes/ Shoes, etc. etc.' the list can go so much longer! Well, yours truly have a skin issue. No worries, nothing dramatic, though I did had a dryness-turned-into-horrible-red-rashes before Nov. That has been resolved, I just needed to apply more moisturiser. How about skin issues that is so hard to remedy? Like, large visible pores?

I have a love-hate relationship with my nose. The pores on it are so visible!! And I think my nose is too round and big but that's another story. This post is about large pores.

Hello, large-pore on nose. Do you have large pores on your nose too? Do sweats come out on your nose easily? Mine does! And it annoys me because then whatever makeup I applied would be 'cleaned' by nose sweat. Not funny but get the drift? I tried nose packs, all those shrinking pores products but the effects lasted just a few weeks then back to large pores. Ugh. Haha. -_-"

So, just before 2015 ended, I received an invitation from Premier Clinic to experience their service at their TTDI branch.

Premier Clinic provides comprehensive range of non-surgical aesthetic procedures and advanced laser treatments. With experiences, qualified doctors and staff, their service is top notch. Besides personalised consultation and competitively priced treatments, they emphasis heavily on safety and excellent results so don't worry, you are in safe hands.

With strategic branch locations in Bangsar and Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), they can help you with your skin/body woes. Their new branch in Bandar Sunway is coming up soon too.

I was assigned to consult Dr Elaine Chong. I shared with her about my large pores dilemma. Dr Elaine Chong suggested Skin Peel, to minimize the pores, followed by LED Phototheraphy to calm down my skin.

Skin Peel AKA Chemical Peel, is recommended for both men and women, suitable for all ages too. It is typically used to remove the top layers of the skin, by applying a peeling solution to the skin, which causes it to naturally peel off. This removes any dead skin cells on the surface and reveals a fresh layer of skin. Smoother and healthier skin! (Read more about Skin Peel)

LED Phototheraphy is an anti-aging technique, which restores the youthfulness of your skin and produces results that look natural, making this method increasingly popular. Penetrating the skin at the right depth, light wavelengths help to activate cellular functions in the body which speeds up the pace of skin healing and rejuvenation. These functions help to address several conditions at the same time, meaning that one session could potentially treat a few skin imperfections. (Read more about LED Phototheraphy)

After the consultation, time for me to cleanse my face and prep for treatment!

First, my skin was cleansed by their helpful staff, Ms Siti. Her voice was so sweet and calming too, somehow she sounded like one of my friend, who has this anime-like voice.

Cleansing my face

This was the solution for the Chemical Peel: Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) peel, which is one of the original peels used for skin rejuvenation.

Dr Elaine applying the solution while Ms Siti held a mini fan to cool my face down. It was so cooling, I almost sneezed. The solution actually causes a burning sensation on the skin but I felt normal. Attributed that to my moisturized skin. Thank you, even though it was a pain to keep reminding myself to moisturise always. :)

After the Skin Peel, I was supposed to follow up with LED Phototheraphy but it was being used by another customer. The staff applied a warm towel first to calm my skin.

So calming until can give 'Peace' sign. Haha.

During LED Phototheraphy

I looked damn cool while the machine did its work to calm down my skin after the Skin Peel.

After the treatments, I was advised to avoid direct sunlight, to apply sunscreen with SPF50 and above, and of course, moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. Can go anal about this moisturise thing. Haha.

Before treatment, my pores were so visible without makeup. After treatment, I noticed that the pores have slightly minimize, especially the pores on my nose.

After treatment

Less visible, right? Even the pores on my cheeks have minimized. Love, love!

Huge thanks to Dr Elaine and Premier Clinic

Maybe I'm sounding like a pessimist but I had half a mind of skipping resolutions this year. Lol.

Anyway, making this short because I really don't feel like ranting.

2016 Resolutions

1. Be serious with blogging, do what I love. Starting with getting a blog name card! Woohoo!!

2. Creating a new passion and maintaining my writing passion. New passion will reveal later.

3. Start and keep up with BBG, which is scary, looking at the routines.

4. Loosely plan for upcoming local trip in August.

5. Stick to colouring as a way of meditation.

Simple resolutions all the way for 2016!

One of my plans to improve photography.
