2014 in retrospect

11:30 PM

Actually this should be a cheat post because I have been whining posting about past events in 2014 here and here. Some bits in My Letter to 16 year old Me. Or this identity crisis I had due to the fasting month in July. Oh I had my First Giveaway! And I actually did 3 posts about me turning 23 (Once Twice Thrice). Talk about overusing that topic. Lol. I still haven't got the gift I wanted though..

Wtf redundant post lah this one.

Ain't stopping me to type it though!

In exactly 30 minutes, it will be 1 January 2015. Another year has pass and a new year comes in.

For 2014, there has been a lot to ponder about. I won't go into details per se as newspapers or more influential personalities has more or less cover that.

For myself, it is just like another year. Minus an unexpected one in November, a personal incident for my family. However, that incident did shed light on some bad apples..

Just to throw this information into this post: T-Chan's birthday is on 15 Dec.
There, easier for me to remember next time. Wtf. I always fail at remembering birthdays.

I guess 2014 is a good year for me because while typing this and reminiscing, I find myself smiling. If that isn't a good sign, I don't know what is. Lol.

A Happy New Year to everyone!

I wish here first then come back blogging tomorrow, okay. If I don't pay back the sleep debt yet.

P.S.: May Love continue to bloom in 2015. :)

The Butterfly Project's Christmas Dinner- 23 Dec 2014

7:00 AM

I got to attend a dinner gathering with 100 bloggers of The Butterfly Project community last Tuesday at The Apartment, Curve.

I rushed there after work, prepared in my Christmas themed attire and actually reached the area in less than an hour. The tricky part  was making my way to the parking. Damn slow moving the traffic and me being me, I was entertaining myself in the car. Lol. Other drivers must have thought I was a crazy lady driver.

Lucky I parked so near to the venue! Walked up the stairs and voila, just a few steps away to The Apartment, Curve.

Some pictures of the interior at The Apartment, Curve.

Pieces of the turkey and some desserts.

The turkey was delicious and I like the fillings as well. Thumbs up for the great turkey!

Sorry ah, so hungry and the food were all delicious; I gobbled up unashamedly until I realized damn no food pictures so this was the second plate. Lol.

I met new bloggers: Rina (, Adeline ( and Colney Qing.

After the dinner, we had 2 songs sang by our talented Butterflies, Edazz and Choypengism joined for duet in the second song, Let It Go.

Part 1

Part 2

Then prize giving to the best food instagrams and best dress. There were really creative ideas from Butterflies; Gingerbread DIY by Ben Dan, Angel by Sara and lots more. I would have a hard time to pick who wins!

Next was the Secret Santa!

This was mine!

I haven't reveal myself to my Secret Butterfly. Lol.

The awesome sticker on The Butterfly Project's Beauty Box!

The Beauty Box, Door Gift from Garnier (in pink) and my gift from Secret Santa.

I love the effort made by my Secret Santa so here's a shout out to her blog!

Thank you, Puteri Zatil Aqmar, blogger at Cosmephilia!

Great Mamasan who made this dinner happened!
Thanks so much, Tammy!

It was a fun night with everyone being merry and enjoying themselves. The Apartment's food and service were great, would love to dine there next time with friends, maybe T-Chan. Lol.

Not to forget, we Butterflies have a mission from Mamasan for 2015! Can't wait to start the missions.

Thank you for reading.

Product Review: Preppie and Petals

7:00 AM

Want to get a body care set for New Year? How about hand creams? Let's see what Guardian has to offer.

Preppie range                                     Petals range

I received Preppie Hand Cream Collection, Preppie Bath Care Collection, Petals Body Care Set and Petals Bath Care Bag from Guardian Malaysia last week to try out.

Preppie Body Care Collection

The packaging is cute max!

This collection comes with a Body Lotion, Body Scrub, Body Wash and Body Puff.

From left to right: Body Wash, Body Lotion, Body Scrub and Body Puff

Unscrew the top and there is a thin plastic film to open. It's tricky to peel off but you can always just poke a hole. I was stubborn and used my fingers to peel off; I like it clean around the bottle's edges. Lol.

The bottles come in 100ml each, perfect to bring on a vacation. :)

The smell is soft, flowery but not too overpowering.

Next is Preppie Hand Cream Collection.

This hand cream collection has 4 variants:
Magnolia Bliss
Honey Bloom
Rose Blossom
Lavender Bright

Each in a size of 30ml.

The hand creams also has the thin plastic film to peel off. I was excited to take a whiff so ended up peeling all off before I could snap a picture. (>.<)"

Magnolia Bliss                            Lavender Bright

Rose Blossom                                Honey Bloom

The textures are light and each has its own individual scent. I particularly like Rose Blossom and Honey Bloom. Lol.

Now let's see what is in the Petals range!

Petals Bath Care Bag

From left to right: Flannel, Body Wash, Body Lotion and Body Scrub.

Each bottle is in 100ml and has a bit of peppery smell (opinion from my Mum).

Petals Body Care Set

This set has a Body Scrub, Body Butter and Body Puff.

Petals Body Butter

To sum up, Preppie has a colourful, fun floral design while Petals is more to a sophisticated, elegant design. The products are at Guardian, prices from RM15.90 to RM30-ish. I do remember them to be below RM40 when I visited Guardian last week.

Which collection or set do you like from the above? I like the Preppie range!

Thanks for reading. Bye!
